Site Admin Onboarding
This guide is for the restaurant owner or manager named as site admin on a
reseller-provisioned Synalux POS venue. If you bought POS directly and are
creating your own workspace, use POS Quick Start
instead.
Before you start
Synalux emails the invitation directly to the address on your signed customer
record. Your reseller does not receive a password or a working invitation to
hand over, and no temporary password exists.
Check these details before accepting:
If any detail is wrong, stop and contact your reseller. Do not accept access for
the wrong venue and do not forward the link to another employee.
Accept the invitation
If the browser is signed in as a different person, the page tells you which
address to use. Sign out and use the invited address. A wrong-account attempt
does not spend the link.
The link can be used successfully only once and normally expires after seven
days. For an expired, already-used, or undelivered invitation, ask your reseller
to request a reissue. A reissue goes to the same approved address; changing the
site admin requires review.
Secure the first device
The email/password account opens the venue and its back office. Register work
also requires an individual staff PIN.
centre, and confirm the venue name in the header before taking an order.
If you can see a customer or venue that is not yours, stop immediately, sign
out, and report it to your reseller. Do not open, edit, or test the other venue.
Configure the venue

and end-of-day reporting with your reseller.
A second location is a separate venue. It does not automatically inherit this
venue's menu, staff, stations, tax, processor, or operational secrets.
Understand production beta
Every reseller-provisioned venue starts in beta. Registers are counted and
the estimated charge is visible, but no register-usage charge is added while
the venue remains in beta. Beta never blocks a register during service.
Only Synalux can change the billing mode. Agree the observed register count with
your reseller before billing starts. The change must happen at the beginning of
a new billing period and before the first order in that period; once a register
has taken an order, the mode change is refused for that period.
For the billing unit, invoice layout, and payment-failure behavior, read
Billing & Subscription. A billing seat means a register
that took an order, not a guest at a table, employee, kitchen screen, or card
reader.

Do not call the venue ready for live service until you and the reseller have
observed all of the following:
